A Series of Sowing

  • Sowing Your Roots

This 5-topic series was developed as a result of so many parents in rural and urban communities requesting assistance in getting more involved in their children’s education. The topics include: Parental Rights, Navigating School System Resources, Understanding an IEP, Applying for Special Programs, and Techniques in Working with Growing Children!

  • Successfully Sown

Overcoming poverty often comes with learning to tap into new income streams. This series guides aspiring business owners through the key lessons needed to open a business, attain required licenses, and successfully operate all aspects of their new company. The series is geared towards adults with income, immigration and/or language barriers seeking to find a new path in life.

  • Sprouting Souls

A teenager is like a sapling, a fragile juvenile plant, that should be watered if it is to become a mature fruitful tree. This series is designed for teens as we mentor them through life’s biggest challenges and difficult seasons of growth. During these sessions we gather with teens to discuss topics related to self-esteem and attitude, motivation and personal growth. The goal is to ensure every teen walks away with a sense of maturity and purpose filled direction.

  • Setting Stones

In a world driven by superficial needs, we often forget about the intangible generational legacy we can be focusing on that we can pass on for generations to come. This series brings the family together to recall individual family histories and develop whole family goals. Through this series we will create a SFH family yearbook where the families share who they are, the impact of the program on their lives, and the legacy they will leave behind despite facing unfathomable challenges.

Harvest Hubs

Sowing for Health organizes temporary, pop-up community hubs where people from impoverished neighborhoods can gather together to gain assistance and tangible resources to help overcome systemic and systematic challenges. Together they gather the harvest of victory as they transcend barriers meant to keep them and their families from achieving healthy, abundant lives.
